I had my "a-ha" moment that business could be a force for good in a dimly lit, corporate cubicle in 1996. Since then, I have been on a mission to harness the power of entrepreneurship and innovation to create a more just, equitable and regenerative future.
I spent the first eight years of my career growing markets for clean and efficient technologies as part of the US Energy Star program. It was through this work that I developed a passion for collaborating with "dreamers who do:" entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs who see wicked problems as opportunities for creativity and innovation.
I joined SustainAbility as head of Innovation & Entrepreneurship in 2006 and worked alongside John Elkington, author of Cannibals with Forks and creator of the Triple Bottom Line concept, to help intrapreneurs within companies such as Nike, GSK, Barclays and Unilever harness the assets of their institutions for positive impact.
In 2012, I co-founded The League of Intrapreneurs, a global community of intrapreneurs and catalysts working to unlock the human innovation potential from inside our most influential institutions for good. I co-authored The Intrapreneur's Guide to Pathfinding as a guide to help intrapreneurs on their journey.
I love inspiring others to find their purpose and make change in the world. I regularly speak and write on the topics of intrapreneurship, innovation and systems change and have spoken on CNN, at TedX Canary Wharf, Sustainable Brands, The Skoll World Forum, GOODCon, and Said Oxford and Cambridge Judge Business Schools.
